Just as in Nelson, people in Izu-shi, our sister city in Japan, enjoy the beautiful colours of autumn.
The season provides opportunities for friends and families to get together for walks and short hikes to appreciate the beauty of fall gardens, local trees and forests, and mountain streams. 

This year, the Friendship Society is pleased to celebrate the official opening of the Cottonwood Creek Signage Project
with ten signs telling stories of the natural environment and human settlement along the creek.
Refreshments will be served in the Rod & Gun Club after the opening.
