From an informal gathering to enjoy the fall colours and the autumn leaves.
Sunday, October 20 at the Friendship Garden in Cottonwood Falls Park.
Haikus Composed At The Event:
Autumn red and gold
Water flowing by the leaves
Bright colours leaves trees
Three stones hold the sky
Yellow, orange and ruby
Leaves falling slowly
Nature brings in the old
Spring makes trees and flowers grow
It was ever thus
Red yellow orange
Such beautiful momiji
Thanks Jim Sawada
Les feuilles d’autome
Brille. Sur les arbres canadiens
L’hiver s’approche
Fiery red leaves on maple
Black dog chases stick without tire
Celebrate sister city
A beautiful day
With many colours today
Green, red, orange
Sound of waterfall
The orange and red leaves get
Blown by the wind
Bright red and yellow
Falling like yellow rain
Chilly breeze blowing
A place once scarred by man
Washed clean by autumns stream
Coming snow promises rest till spring
