On Friday September 29th, about 15 people gathered at Barry and Jenefer’s North Shore home for Otsukimi. We enjoyed delicious pot luck snacks while sharing our haiku along with a glass of sake, imagining rabbits on the moon pounding mochi. Meanwhile, the moon rose behind us as we enjoyed each other’s company. Finally we got outside and down to the beach to marvel at the full harvest moon from the peaceful shores of Kootenay Lake.
